History
The Educational Opportunity Foundation of Black Forest (EOF) began in 1965, assisting high school students living in the Black Forest area with their post secondary educational expenses. Every year since 1965, the EOF has awarded a one-time non renewable scholarship to high school seniors who will attend community colleges, four-year universities or vocational/trade schools. In 60+ years, the EOF has awarded over 330 scholarships to local students.
The original sponsor of the organization was the Black Forest Community Church. Reverend Nick Natelli, Mrs. Edith Wolford, and many other local residents offered their time and effort to make the fledgling EOF a success.
